Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s Golf Club is one of the premier links golf courses in the world. It has an illustrious history and has hosted 10 Open Championships, 2 Ryder Cups and many other major tournaments. The course is a par 71, 6360 yardage and offers challenging play with 200 bunkers to negotiate. The golf club has an excellent clubhouse and an impressive Pro shop. www.royallytham.org

Fairhaven Golf Club is considered to be a hidden gem of a golf course and one of the best courses in the North of England. Fairhaven is a par 74, 6683 yard Championship golf course that combines links and parkland play. www.fairhavengolfclub.co.uk
St. Anne’s Old Links Golf Club was founded in 1901 and is a Championship par 72, 6684 yard links course. Its golf shop is one of the best-stocked in the North West and the Club offers PGA professional tuition and video coaching analysis. www.stannesoldlinks.com
Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club is a municipal, par 70, 6048 yard course. It was opened in 1925 and designed by Dr Alister McKenzie whose other achievements include Augusta National and Royal Melbourne. Blackpool North Shore Golf Club course was designed by H S Colt in 1920, is a par 71 links type course over 6431 yards with rolling fairways. There is a well-stocked golf shop and clubs and trolleys are available for hire. Poulton Le Fylde Golf Club was founded in 1975, is a parkland course with a challenging layout and the 9 holes are a good test of accuracy with a par of 35. Fleetwood Golf Club is probably the home of the first links course in England as the history of the club has been positively traced back to 1861. The current course was designed by James Steer and opened in 1932. It measures 6557 yards and is a par 72. www.fleetwoodgolf.co.uk
Knott End Golf Club offers a unique blend between links and parkland. The course length is 5849 yards and is a par 69. The yardage might seem a little short but the exposed nature of the course coupled with small, well protected greens ensure a true test of golf.
